My name is Anthony Antona and I am passionate about Quantitative Finance and Investment Bank with the dream to give an impact in the world of Finance.

Academic Background

My academic background includes:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of Palermo, Italy.
  • An Erasmus program in Management at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia.
  • A Master’s Degree in Quantitative Finance and Insurance from the University of Turin, Italy.
  • An Erasmus program in Financial Engineering at ENSIIE in double degree with the Master 2 of University of Paris Saclay in Quantitative Finance in Paris, France.

Throughout my education, I have gained knowledge in subjects such as Econometrics, Business and Corporate valuation, Investments, Financial Markets and much more.

Work History

I have gained professional experience in:

  • PricewaterhouseCoopers as Finance Associate

Projects

Additionally, I have worked on projects such as:

  • Stock price prediction using machine learning techniques.
  • Analysis of volatility in the banking sector during the 2008 crisis.
  • SABR calibration in Python, and much more.

My area of interest is in Finance, Trading, Mathematics, Programming, Investments, Statistics, Informatics, Management, Economics, Machine Learning, Politics and Psychology, AI, Entrepreneurship and Startup.

About languages, I am fluent in Italian, English and Spanish, Intermediate in French and a basic knowledge of German.

My computer skills include Linux, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, PowerBI, Tableau, SATA, SAP, Alteryx.

About my coding knowledge: Python, R, LaTeX, Matlab, Eviews, HTML, Git, SQL, Excel VBA, Php

I am also a member of various organizations, such as Mentors4U.

I had the opportunity to do some extra-curricular activities like being a student representative for my master’s program, volunteering at ESN, and being a member of Scout d’Europa.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, listening to music, participating in debates, listening to podcasts, playing chess and strategic games, doing sports, travelling, and meditating.
